What documentation must be delivered to the municipality for the construction of temporary structures with a nominal life of less than 2 years? Is seismic storage necessary?

As indicated in par. 2.4.1 of the 2018 NTC, seismic checks of temporary and provisional works or those under construction may be omitted when the project envisages that this condition will remain for less than 2 years. For this reason it is not necessary to carry out a seismic deposit.

It should be noted that these cases also include:

  • land support works;
  • works created with any structural material;

having the same temporal characteristics. 

However, the construction of temporary works requires the reporting of the structures at the municipal offices, containing the following mandatory documentation:

  • Calculation report;
  • Report on the materials used;
  • Facilities maintenance plan;
  • Graphic works;
  • Certification of correct assembly by the executing company;
  • Testing or Certificate of Regular Execution

Please remember that the temporary structures necessary for public entertainment activities must be forwarded to the Municipal Supervisory Commission in the manner provided for by its regulations.
