Which wastewater should I discharge into the sewer?
All waste water must be released into the sewer (rainwater, non-rainwater and process water) according to the provisions given in the authorization document for discharge into the sewer and until otherwise provided by the manager of the Integrated Water Service.
For newly constructed buildings (since the entry into force of DGR no. 2244 of 29.03.2006) or for those that are currently connected to the municipal sewer system, if located in areas where there is a watercourse, rainwater not susceptible to pollution may not be released into the sewer system, subject to the consent of the owner of the watercourse and subject to administrative authorization from the Metropolitan City.
Please note that pursuant to Law 244/2007, buildings built after 2009 are obliged to reuse the rainwater flow.
