The Municipality of Milan prepares forecasts for the resident population, based on a statistical model that configures three possible scenarios (high, central, low) based on the following factors: current characteristics of the population; more recent trend lines in terms of fertility, mortality and migration.

The document "Forecasts of Population and Families in Milan_2023-2039" presents the forecasts of the resident population (central scenario) for the entire municipal territory. The supporting methodological documents report the dates of the last revision of the model and the time references for its first application.
