Connected neighborhoods

Connected neighborhoods is the project of the Municipality of Milan financed by the PON Metro which translates sustainable urban development strategies relating to the smart city and new services into concrete and integrated actions, together with the promotion of social inclusion in 9 Milanese neighbourhoods. The Municipality of Milan intends to support the projects through initial financing and the free concession of redeveloped spaces, with the aim of activating service projects related to 3 thematic vocations:

Area 2 Innovative services and entertainment – viale Faenza 25, via Alex Visconti 24 A/F, via s. Erlembald 2

Since the publication of the notice (16/12/2020), the Municipality of Milan has accompanied the entities interested in participating in the procedure, creating:

  • Una public presentation involving over 150 participants
  • Quattro in-depth meetings: one for each project area and one dedicated to accompanying the drafting of the tender documents.
  • In the in-depth meetings it was possible to analyze the various aspects regarding the type of services and the spaces made available, and to open training moments for discussion thanks to the presence of guests who brought concrete experiences of similar innovative services already launched in Milan and not only.

The co-planning of social innovation services (Area 2 and Area 3) is currently underway to develop the selected projects, which will undertake a two-year start-up period financed with the resources PON Metro.
