Two public notices have been published to propose social, cultural and recreational initiatives from 1 June to 30 September

Milan, March 22 2023 – The Municipality of Milan is looking for partners and sponsors for the creation of summer initiatives dedicated to the elderly population. The applications, which will be included in the Milan Help Summer schedule and which may cover the period between 1 June and 30 September, will be collected through two online public notices on the Municipality's website. 

"The Municipality – declares the councilor for Welfare and Health Lamberto Bertolé – has always been the promoter of initiatives to combat loneliness and isolation, especially during the summer months, when the city empties and many elderly people do not have the possibility of going on holiday. The purpose of these notices is to recompose the public and private offer in a single schedule, which achieves the double objective of being more easily consultable by the recipients of the initiatives and of truly intercepting the need through the mediation of the social workers of the Municipality. Finally, it is a tool to respond to the desire for participation that has been expressed to us in recent months by various companies and individuals who will thus be able to express their social vocation by investing, through sponsorships, in initiatives that will meet the needs of those stays in Milan in the summer".

The first notice may be submitted - by 12pm on 18 April - by individuals interested in stipulating collaboration agreements with the Administration for the organization of guided tours of historic places in the city, trips out of town, dancing evenings, cultural initiatives and recreational, moments of training, aggregation and leisure through shows, workshops, conferences that take place in a widespread manner.

The projects presented - which must be at zero cost for the Municipality - will be examined by a special commission which will award a maximum of 50 points based on the coherence of the proposal with the objectives of the Administration, the diffusion of the initiatives in the city area and the experience of the proposer (which must in any case be at least two years).  
Proposals that have achieved a score of at least 40 points will be considered eligible.

The Municipality will undertake to guarantee a return of image through the inclusion of initiatives within Milan helps summer and with the communication of this schedule.

The second notice provides, however, for the stipulation of technical sponsorship contracts between the Municipality and the entities that will apply to offer recreational activities to the elderly population for the summer months, for example free entrances to swimming pools, cinemas, museums, exhibitions, concerts and shows, but also discount vouchers and the possibility of participating in cultural or social initiatives through the purchase of entry ticket packages.

The proposals - which must be received by 12pm on 18 April - must contain an indication of the economic-commercial value and a description of the activities offered. The sponsor will be able to enjoy the tax advantages provided for by the legislation and the image return resulting from the inclusion of the sponsored initiative in the program schedule of Milan Help Summer.

Finally, on April 3rd at 9 am it will be possible attend an online meeting organized by the Municipality to explain to all interested parties the functioning of the two notices.
