Via Rizzoli. The dismantling of the illegal nightclub is underway

Some manual interventions are already underway in the area owned by INPS, respecting the two colonies of cats and hedgehogs present

Milan, July 24 2021 – Work has started to dismantle the illegal nightclub between Via Rizzoli and Lambro. The area is predominantly owned by INPS, which received the order from the Municipality of Milan last March to proceed with the demolition and removal of the illegal constructions built in the last 20 years and all the waste and materials present.

The area has already been under construction in recent weeks and some manual interventions have been carried out, avoiding the use of invasive machinery so as not to cause damage to a colony of cats and a colony of hedgehogs present.

All the planned interventions are coordinated by the Municipality of Milan, carried out by a company appointed by INPS, with the presence of the local police, the green and environmental area of the Municipality and AMSA.

At the same time, safety operations are underway in the area of the former workshop in Via Padova 362, where the removal of all vehicles, waste and the demolition of dangerous and abandoned buildings are planned.

In the next few days, citizens residing in the Rizzoli neighborhood will receive a letter with information on the methods and timing of the ongoing interventions.
