Via Padova. From Monday 20 February work in the railway underpass

Milan, February 19 2023 - The redevelopment and road improvement works begin tomorrow, Monday 20 February, in via Padova.
In the first phase, for an expected duration of approximately two months, the works will involve the redevelopment of the railway underpass.
Traffic will be guaranteed alternatively with a two-way or an alternating one-way, in line with the construction works. Subsequently, starting from April and until the end of the year, a new construction phase will open which will concern the stretch of road from the roundabout in Via Giacosa to the underpass: traffic will be guaranteed with two-way traffic for the entire duration of this second phase.
The works are part of the broader redevelopment project of via Padova, for a stretch of approximately two kilometres, equal to half of the entire road, between via Arici (Crescenzago) and via Giacosa. The works will be carried out in different phases starting from Monday 20 February and will be completed in approximately three years. The objective of the entire project is to improve the liveability of the neighborhood's public spaces through greater road safety and encouraging sustainable mobility. Speed will be moderate to encourage the presence of motor vehicles and bicycles; pedestrian crossings will increase, which will be protected, facilitated with wider and in some cases raised passages.
