Green. Plants, trees and benches, gifts from private individuals for a greener city

Milan, August 25 2019 – The latest donation in chronological order concerns 200 ornamental plants, sender Assolombarda Servizi Spa. There are more and more private individuals who decide to contribute to making Milan greener and more beautiful by offering the Municipality equipment for parks, squares, avenues and gardens.

There is Yamaha Motor, which in February planted around 50 trees in the Lucarelli Gardens, in the Feltre area, as part of the Treecity project; there is Seconda la Scia snc, which on the occasion of the last edition of the Design Week placed four benches in Piazza XXV Aprile which made the new jerseys more useful and less impactful; there is the Bisazza spa company, which offered 13 potted plants on loan for use which today make Via Solferino more beautiful.

And then there are the almost 8 thousand plants, including gaura, anemones, bougainvillea and grasses which, after having been used for the "Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018" project, were donated by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion on the occasion of the latest edition of Fashion Week. Similarly, in 2018 Federlegno Arredo Eventi Spa left the plants of the composition designed by Carlo Ratti for the Salone del Mobile to the Municipality, while Rinascente spa donated the 10 plants that make via Santa Radegonda and via Vittor Pisani greener.

Not just plants and benches: on the occasion of the latest edition of Milan Green Week Philips Spa donated a defibrillator to the new Parco della Torre alla Bicocca, expanding the already rich list of city parks equipped with life-saving machines thanks to the precious contribution of the association " On the pitch with my heart."

Great generosity is also shown on the part of the associations.

Recently the amateur sports association Scuola Basket Sound donated 9 red benches, a symbol against violence against women, to be placed in as many green areas of the city (Blazen Gardens, Adriano Park, Giulio Polotti Gardens, Formentano Park, Via Tabacchi, Vincenzo Muccioli Park , Trenno Park, Villa Sheibler and Torre Park). In 2018 Benè Berith and Walking Angels gave 50 olive trees to Cascina Bianca and the shared gardens of the city, while the Latvian Association in Italy and Italian Switzerland (ALISI), on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the Republic of Latvia, planted an oak at Sempione Park.
