Green. Twelve interventions in five years in via Baroni al Gratosoglio

A new play area joins the dog area, the garden house, the five-a-side football and basketball courts and other interventions near the schools. Maran: “Most of the investments in less central neighborhoods of the city also thanks to the collaboration of private individuals”

Milan, September 25 2019 – Gratosoglio is increasingly greener. The last of twelve interventions on greenery that have seen the light of day in the last five years in via Costantino Baroni concluded in recent days, on the eve of Milan Green Week.

“Thanks to the contribution of private individuals who increasingly help us in the management of greenery, we are able to invest around three-quarters of public resources for interventions in less central areas of the city such as in via Baroni - declares the green councilor Pierfrancesco Maran -. Strengthening the provision of green areas for adults and children is fundamental for the quality of life in the neighbourhoods, so we work to make the interventions increasingly widespread and complementary".  

New slides, swings, spring games and anti-shock flooring have arrived in recent days at number 45 for safe fun. The new play area is located next to the skate park built in 2015, the dog area built in 2016 and the mini football pitch built in 2018. Also last year in via Baroni 36, adjacent to the school, the basketball court and a garden shed with new plantings. 

Continuing along the street, on one side there is a new playground built in 2015 at via Saponara, in via Baroni 85 the play area adjacent to the nursery school has been redeveloped while at 228, at the Oklahoma community for children in difficulties, a new basketball court was built (2018) and a new green lawn for running and playing (2018). Finally, at number 190, last year a cleaning and reclamation operation was carried out on the banks of the Lambro River.
