Green. Play areas and school gardens, work in progress even in August

A picnic area is also planned in Città Studi and a fitness area in the Acqua park

Milan, August 12 2019 – Work in progress to make the play areas in school courtyards and in the city neighborhoods more beautiful and safe. Miami scarl's program of interventions continues in August as part of the Global Service for the management of public green spaces.

As regards schools, overall redevelopment interventions are underway at the institutes in via Bacone and via Barabino, the first of a  plan which in the coming months will involve 20 school courtyards in all municipalities, for a total investment of over 3 million of Euro. The rubber flooring at the primary school in via degli Anemoni is also being redone these days.

The play areas of via Boncompagni, via Veneziano, via Baroni and via Castellino da Castello/Ardissone are also being restyled, where the garden will also be redeveloped. A new play area is currently being built in via Fratelli Zoia 105, where last year a previously unusable green area was redeveloped and made accessible to the public.

Work will also begin on the creation of an inclusive play area in via Martinetti, co-financed by the Milan Community Foundation as part of the "Gioco al Centro - Playgrounds for all" project which has already stopped at the Montanelli Gardens and Villa Finzi.

A new look also for the green area of via Golgi in Città Studi where 2 picnic tables with backrests, 3 benches plus a fourth red one, a symbol of rejection of violence against women, are available for university students and citizens of the neighborhood women,  and a small notice board. Finally, Miami scarl will move to the water park in Lambrate, to create a new fitness area and replace the balustrade protecting the pond.
