Milan, 22 December 2020 – This afternoon the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala and the councilor for urban planning Pierfrancesco Maran visited the new garden along the Pasternak promenade, in honor of the writer Boris Pasternak, designed by the Herzog & de Meuron studio and SD partners and from today open to public. Also present were the President of Municipality 1 Fabio Arrigoni, the President of the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation Carlo Feltrinelli, the CEO of the Feltrinelli Group Roberto Rivellino and the Director of asset management of Coima SGR Luca Mangia.

In this way the original project is completed which provides for the connection with the urban fabric and opens up the usability of new outdoor spaces also on the Viale Crispi front. The wide boulevard that develops along the perimeter of the Feltrinelli Foundation is characterized by 30 trees, pedestrian and cycle paths and a lighting system. The intervention was carried out by Coima sgr as part of the integrated intervention plan for Pasubio-Montello-Crispi avenues, Porta Volta bastions, Baiamonti square.

The new space will dialogue with Lea Garofalo's shared garden and, in the future, with the green area that will be created as part of the construction of the Resistance Museum in Piazzale Baiamonti and with the interventions already planned by the Administration: a new tree-lined row of 250 meters composed along Viale Pasubio and a new green area of ​​approximately 2.000 square meters along the Bastioni di Porta Volta.
