The new 40 thousand m2021 green area will be in continuity with Largo Marinai d'Italia, work will be completed by spring XNUMX

Milan, September 17 2020 – Porta Vittoria turns the page. Work began yesterday for the construction of the new public park, eagerly awaited by the neighborhood and symbol of an urban plan which, after long legal proceedings, will finally be brought to completion.

After the reclamation, the operational phase begins which by the spring of 2021 will bring a new green area in continuity with Largo Marinai d'Italia, as part of the Integrated Intervention Program (PII) for the redevelopment of the areas of the former Porta Vittoria railway station which extend between viale Umbria, via Monte Ortigara and viale Molise owned by Prelios SGR SpA.

In the month of September, the existing technical structures will be demolished and the reclamation of a portion of the park will be completed, to then proceed, from the second half of October, with the altimetric modeling of the land, with the implementation of the underground plant works and subsequently with the laying of cultivation land, necessary for the planting of shrubs, trees and lawn, as well as the creation of walkways, play and relaxation areas.

The park, which will extend for approximately 40.000 m2, is part of the urbanization interventions envisaged by the PII, which also includes the construction of buildings for residential use, whose completion is expected by June 2021, and office buildings, as well as hospitality and commercial structures (neighborhood and medium-sized establishments) for a total size of 44.000 square meters of GFA. The construction of a sports center is also planned in the area beyond Viale Molise to serve the neighborhood.
