Since 2013, the Municipality's property has been used to support territoriality and projects for vulnerable people

Milan, 19 December 2020 – Continue to guarantee coverage of the territory, in the complex context of the Porto di Mare area, through social activities and environmental enhancement interventions.

This is the objective of the tender for the assignment of Cascina Corte San Giacomo, the property owned by the municipality since 2013 and for years leased to the Nocetum Association which took care of the renovation of the ancient farmhouse and the construction of the ancillary structures, as well as their management and maintenance.

The association will have the right of first refusal in the context of the tender which leases the rural complex, consisting of an ancient farmhouse and two more recent buildings, including the appurtenant areas ( including the Church of Saints Philip and James, subject to restrictions of historical and artistic interest) and an orchard of 30 square metres.

The proposal may provide for the establishment of functions of public or general interest that are of a social nature both in terms of domiciliary and residential care (such as temporary accommodation for fragile subjects) and of support for territoriality through the analysis and knowledge of the problems relating to the specific social situation of the area in which the property is located, also through the demonstration of previous activities on site.

It is possible to provide a smaller portion of private functions as long as they are qualifying and prove capable of generating the profitability necessary for the economic sustainability of the management of the services for the entire duration of the concession. With reference to the Church of Saints Philip and James, the functions that can be installed must also be compatible with the provisions of the Decree of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities of 15/12/2009.

Proposals must be submitted by January 20, 2021.
