University. The eighth edition of "MEETmeTONIGHT - face to face with research" starts on Friday 27 September

Milan, September 26 2019 – The two-day scientific dissemination event “MEETmeTONIGHT – Face to face with research”, the official event of the European Researchers' Night, begins on Friday 27 September. Hundreds of completely free, fun and accessible initiatives for spectators of all ages that will enliven the Indro Montanelli Gardens in Milan on the 27th and 28th: ​​stands with experiments, scientific demonstrations, interactive laboratories, informative talks, moments of meeting with researchers, RPGs. Activities, exhibitions, stands, concerts and guided tours also in the three Civic Halls of the Municipality of Milan which for the occasion will have free entry: the Aquarium, the Planetarium and the Natural History Museum.

 

Five thematic areas - Science and Technology, Culture and Society, Environment, Health, Cultural Heritage - which will be covered through 12 introductory events, 45 stands, 15 talks, 2 films, 3 shows, 1 EU Corner, 1 Play Decide (event -debate certified by the European Commission) and 1000 researchers involved.

 

The promoters of the initiative are the Universities of Milan-Bicocca, the Polytechnic of Milan, the Statale of Milan, Federico II of Naples and the Municipality of Milan and, in addition to Milan and Naples, several cities in Lombardy will be involved (Brescia, Castellanza, Cremona, Edolo, Lecco, Lodi, Mantua, Monza, Sondrio) and Campania (Portici and Procida).

 

MEETmeTONIGHT is created with the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation and the Invernizzi Foundation, in collaboration with the Lombardy Region and with the Main Partner for Milan, Bocconi University.
