Milan, May 11 2022 – With 587.717 arrivals recorded in Milan in April, tourism in the city returns to pre-Covid levels: in April 2019, in fact, data from the Milan Police Headquarters recorded 594.269 entries into the municipal area.

The figure is the result of an inexorable growth in tourism in the last twelve months, which marks an increase of over 500% compared to April 2021, when arrivals were just under 100.000 (95.004 to be precise).

The data for the wider area (metropolitan city and Province of Monza and Brianza) are also good: in April arrivals were 789.000, compared to 178.295 in April 2021 and 878.602 in April 2019.

In the last year, thanks to a widespread communication campaign launched with the YesMilano brand (a project by Milano&partners, the promotion agency of the city of Milan, supported by the Municipality of Milan and the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce), is aimed precisely at relaunching the territory, not only through the image of iconic places, but also and above all with the discovery of the Milanese neighborhoods that represent the identity and soul of the city.

The city is ready to welcome major events for the spring that will continue to support the arrival of visitors including Piano city, Design week and important international conferences.
