City tax. “Sogorniamo” is launched, the IT platform intended for hosts

Milan, November 16 2019 – The administrative facilitation process undertaken by the Council continues. “Sogorniamo” arrives in Milan, the IT platform dedicated to managers of accommodation facilities and intended to improve the management of the tourist tax. The new application was necessary given the significant increase in the number of structures in the city and will allow municipal offices to better monitor the progress of collections and host declarations.
“This is an important step to guarantee greater transparency and efficiency in the management of the tourist tax – explains the budget councilor, Roberto Tasca -. The increase in the number of accommodation facilities in Milan requires a new system for collecting the tourist tax and controlling it by the Municipality. At the same time, a useful tool is provided to hosts to facilitate their activity which establishes a relationship of continuity with the organization to operate with maximum transparency".

“Let's Stay” is a feature-rich platform. Managers of accommodation facilities can have an easy-to-use tool available to manage their activities, halving waiting times.
Hosts will be able to self-register on the platform and access credentials will no longer be issued by the offices, eliminating waiting times. Furthermore, the quarterly declaration that managers must compulsorily submit can be entered via PC and tablet, through simple steps with immediate and functional checks even for those who manage multiple structures.
The system, connected to the cadastral databases, will allow the geolocation of the structures, facilitating checks by the Local Police. Communication between the office and the hosts will then be direct, with news and communications management that can be personalized.
Payments will be made via PagoPA and with the unique booking code they will be directly and automatically "matched" to the structure, without the possibility of attribution errors or "orphan" payments occurring. The real-time recording of payments and declarations will allow the offices to quickly identify tax evasion behavior.
