Sport. Changing rooms, press gallery and Wi-Fi®, the project for the new works at the Gianni Brera civic Arena has been approved

Milan, 10 April 2021 – The Gianni Brera Civic Arena, the only municipally owned facility managed directly by the Administration, is ready for a new renovation to improve its suitability for hosting national and international sporting events and competitions. The Council has in fact approved the technical and economic feasibility project for a new redevelopment project which will concern changing rooms, press gallery and Wi-Fi system®.

"After the recent renovation works carried out in synergy with the International Athletics Federation for functional competitive use – declares the Sports Councilor Roberta Guaineri –, which have adapted and improved the characteristics of the entire area dedicated to sporting activities, thanks to the new athletics track, the new platform asset and the new football field, now it is the turn to also redevelop the parts of the structure used to host athletes and media operators. An important step that will allow the historic facility of the our city to return to being a point of reference for athletics at an international level".

The works, for an overall estimated amount of 3,9 million euros, will concern the building and plant redevelopment of the changing rooms existing today (approximately 1.400 m2), the supply and installation of a new Wi-Fi system® to service the internal and external areas of the complex, and the supply and installation of a new covered press box.
