Sport. UEFA Nations league finals, Milan ready to formalize its candidacy
Milan, September 6 2020 – The City Council has approved the presentation of the “Host City Authority Undertaking” in order to formalize Milan's candidacy to host the UEFA Nations League 2021 finals.
The UEFA Nations League is the most important football tournament in Europe for national teams affiliated to UEFA after the European Championships: an event with a strong media and economic impact for the city, which in 2016 has already successfully hosted the Champions League final league.
The tournament takes place every two years and 2021 will be the second edition: the finals will be held between the months of September and October. The proposal dossier for Milan's candidacy, drawn up in collaboration with the FIGC, will be delivered to UEFA by 16 September 2020.
