The Milanese will be able to use the facility all year round and experience a sports offering capable of satisfying the widest demand, including swimming, tennis, padel, fitness, boxing and much more. All of this , obviously, in the most complete accessibility, given the elimination of every architectural barrier, an aspect that is very close to the heart of this Administration. This is a further, important step in the right direction: on the one hand, maximum attention to grassroots sport, also through careful redevelopment of our facilities, on the other, Milan's ever-increasing ability to attract major sporting events. The path to making Milan also the capital of Sport, in view of the 2026 Olympic Games, is proceeding at a rapid pace" .

"I am very pleased – comments the president of Milanosport Rosanna Volpe – to announce the opening to the public of the Cambini Fossati swimming pool, a wonderful structure that will also be able to welcome many sports enthusiasts who are swimming enthusiasts. I remember that this sports center represents a point of reference for many clubs sports enthusiasts and many tennis and padel enthusiasts. The center is further enriched with a modern swimming pool, an equipped gym and a large garden. The center guarantees maximum usability by athletes and the public, with particular attention to people with disabilities. Looking at the turnout, the numbers of participants for the 2022/2023 season for the courses provided by Milanosport are over 40.000, confirming the excellent work carried out in recent years. With the new swimming pool the center will be increasingly functional and the new course proposal increasingly closer to the needs of citizens".

The new structure supports and completes the existing sports center with a 25-metre pool with 6 lanes (the depth of which varies from 1,20 m to 1,75 m), an educational pool for family and baby swimming courses and for aquatic fitness and a gym intended for boxing, personal defense and fitness courses. Furthermore, in summer the large garden, accessible directly from the pool area, will be transformed into a solarium with deckchairs, sunbeds and umbrellas, to offer citizens moments of relaxation in the sun. In addition to changing rooms and services, there is a reception and a bar open all year round.

The new complex enriches the range of sports and activities that can be practiced in the centre, renovated in 2018. The Cambini Fossati already includes two 800 m gyms2 equipped with stands with 252 and 127 seats - the Gymnastics Gym and the Giordani Gym, dedicated to Aldo Giordani, basketball player, coach and sports journalist -, two tennis courts - one red clay and one synthetic - and four inaugurated padel courts in 2022 (3 indoors with the possibility of lateral opening and one uncovered).

With the opening of the swimming pool, the Cambini Fossati sports center presents itself as a center of excellence, both as a virtuous model in terms of accessibility, thanks to the absence of architectural barriers, and because it stands as one of the largest facilities on the circuit Milanosport is able to offer the Milanese the opportunity to practice different sports disciplines and to experience opportunities for aggregation and leisure.
