L’assessora Guaineri: "Milano avrà una nuova piscina olimpionica pubblica in grado di ospitare gare di nuoto nazionali e meeting nazionali e internazionali. Un nuovo centro sportivo presidio di inclusione e aggregazione, studiato anche per le famiglie e per tutti gli appassionati sportivi"

Milan, 9 April 2021 – Una nuova vita "olimpionica" per la piscina Cardellino, un impianto situato nel popoloso quartiere di Lorenteggio ormai obsoleto e che necessita di ammodernamento sia nelle strutture edilizie che in quelle sportive.

This is the objective of the Giunta which declared the project proposal feasible and in line with the public interest for the granting of the concession for the construction of a new swimming center in the area as well as the subsequent management for a period of 20 years presented by the of an ATI made up of private individuals.

The project, for an estimated amount of 23.487.801,37 euros (excluding VAT), has as its object the activation of a public-private partnership through a proposal for the financial leasing of public works and the simultaneous management of the service for a period of 20 years.

"Fino ad oggi – dichiara l’assessora allo Sport Roberta Guaineri – questo impianto ha sempre avuto una vocazione prettamente ludica. Con questo progetto, oltre a rimanere un presidio fondamentale per l’aggregazione e l’inclusione dei cittadini della zona, il centro diventerà un grande impianto olimpionico a disposizione per allenamenti, gare e meeting nazionali e internazionali, fornendo così ulteriore prestigio al profilo sportivo della nostra città. Infatti, l’impianto, oltre all’attività pre-agonistica ed agonistica con iniziative di avviamento allo sport e alle competizioni di nuoto, pallanuoto, nuoto sincronizzato e tuffi, ospiterà corsi di nuoto per ogni tipologia d’utente e d’età, campus estivi e multidisciplinari, attività scolastiche rivolte ai plessi del Municipio 6 e limitrofi, e un percorso nascita rivolto alle donne in gravidanza".

The proposed intervention consists in the construction of an Olympic-sized swimming facility with a summer park; the main building will have two floors above ground and one underground, only for systems and technical rooms. The ground floor will house the access area, the pools, the changing rooms; the first floor will host the grandstands for spectators, 891 seats for the Olympic pool and 116 seats for the diving pool, with a service and refreshment area. There are also recreational play pools for children and a connecting building between the main body and the outdoor pools. The main sports facilities covered are a 50-metre Olympic swimming pool and a 25-metre training/diving pool. The flat outdoor area includes a park for outdoor activities (swimming pools, beach volleyball) and a tree-lined car park. The expected duration of the works is 2 years and the annual fee paid to the Municipality is 450 euros.

The assignment will take place through a public procedure, with pre-emption in favor of the promoter. The award criterion will be that of the most economically advantageous offer.
