Sport. The 111th edition of the Milan-Sanremo kicks off this morning
Milan, August 8 2020 - The 111 left this morning, meeting in Piazza Castelloa edition of the Milan-Sanremo, the cycling race organized by RCS sport/La gazzetta dello sport. Deputy Mayor Anna Scavuzzo was present at the meeting, representing the municipal administration.
The protagonists of the very classic will face a new route this year: the zero kilometer has been set on Nuova Vigevanese, in the municipality of Trezzano sul Naviglio, to then continue towards Lomellina, Alessandria, Monferrato and the Langhe, before tackling the climb of Colle Nava 70 kilometers from the Sanremo finish line. In Imperia the route returns to the classic one, to tackle the Cipressa from San Lorenzo al Mare and shortly after the Poggio di Sanremo.
