Milan, May 26 2022 – Outside, mirrors that reflect the sky and trees of Sempione Park. Inside there are LED screens to reflect on the value of food and ways not to waste it. It is the "Reflection" installation, inaugurated today and open to the public until Sunday 29 May in Piazza del Cannone. Promoted by the Orsero group, the initiative is supported and sponsored by the municipal administration and carried out in collaboration with Daily Bread, Food Bank and Recup.

The structure, a large "reflecting" parallelepiped, approximately 4 and a half meters on each side, offers visitors, with free entry, a journey of impactful images, sounds and scents to understand the consequences of waste and, in comparison, of behaviors that respect the products of the earth. Accompanying the visit were volunteers from associations involved in the recovery of food surpluses.

The installation in Piazza del Cannone is linked to initiatives in support of associations involved in the recovery of surpluses: according to data from the Food Bank, the pandemic has generated one million more poor people, rising from 4,6 million to 5,6 million , which have not decreased in the last year, due to the consequences of inflation: both in 2021 and in the first months of this year, requests for help have increased.
