The drug-seeking intervention. Six reported for gambling, one also for incitement to corruption
Milan, August 6 2019 – The drug enforcement unit of the local police intervened last Thursday, August 1st, in a basement in via Farini, after a report of suspicious comings and goings and possible drug dealing. But when the agents crossed the threshold of the club they found themselves in a clandestine gambling den: an apartment with two rooms set up with professional gaming tables. Sitting, three at a table, were citizens of Chinese origin playing Mah Jong.
The six people, two women and four men aged between 51 and 37, were reported for illegal gambling. The money found on the table, almost six thousand euros, together with the Mah Jong cards and the professional tables, were seized.
The following afternoon the officers returned to the site to proceed with the appointment of the judicial custodian of the gaming tables, given that none of those reported could be considered suitable. Once inside they found the two women and one of the reported men intent on playing Mah Jong. 370 euros on the table. The agitation of one of the two women aroused the suspicion of the officers who therefore decided to search her and found 1.040 euros hidden in her bra. The woman offered half the amount to the officer who was checking her so as not to report her. For this reason, in addition to the illegal practice of gambling and the seizure of the money, you will also have to answer to the charge of incitement to corruption.
