Milan, October 20 2019 – The Women and Minors Protection unit of the Local Police has carried out two precautionary custody measures in prison against two men in recent days. The first, a 32-year-old Kosovar, is accused of mistreatment, violence and injuries towards his ex-girlfriend and her family, as well as for the illicit diffusion of sexually explicit images and videos (the so-called revenge porn, new crime included with the changes to the criminal system to combat domestic and gender violence better known as the "red code"). The second, a 28-year-old Italian friend of the thirty-two-year-old, is accused of threats and illicit distribution of sexually explicit images.

The two men, both residents of two municipalities in the Milanese hinterland and with various criminal records, allegedly targeted the girl, her family and her friends, particularly after the end of the couple's relationship.

The complaint was filed at the end of last September and the investigations by the Women and Minors Protection Unit began immediately in agreement with the Fifth Department of the Prosecutor's Office which deals with the protection of the family and vulnerable subjects, directed by the Deputy Prosecutor Dr. Letizia Mannella, who in a short time allowed us to acquire numerous confirmations to the woman's story, who was immediately secured by the Local Police.

The 32-year-old's violence, both verbal and physical, towards his girlfriend had lasted for months, but had particularly escalated after she left him. When they were still together, between February and summer, the young woman had been beaten several times with punches in the back and face.  

Immediately after breaking off the relationship, threats also began against his family and friends. In particular, a friend, in addition to several threats, also suffered a real attack, when reached in a parking lot he was thrown from the car he was driving and punched in the face and kicked.

The 32-year-old had also released a video and some photos on social media showing their sexual intercourse, which was then also shared by the other arrested man.
The two men are now in custody at the San Vittore prison.
