Safety. Checks, reports and removals of cars, operation by the local police in viale Aretusa

Milan, July 17 2020 - Sixty vehicles checked, 26 removals, 6 on-site complaints, 3 criminal seizures and 4 complaints for various types of forgeries: these are the results of the intervention carried out on Tuesday 14 July in viale Aretusa by approximately twenty officers of the local police commands of the municipalities 7 and 8, supported by the units specialized in the control of counterfeit vehicles, checks on foreign license plates and local problems, of the local police of Milan led by Commander Marco Ciacci.
An operation born from the observation activity of the area and from the reports sent by the Central Information Unit to the territorial commands, which resulted in sanctions calculable at around 25 thousand euros and which allowed the stretch between Via Ricciarelli and Piazzale Selinunte to be cleared, partly occupied by non-compliant vehicles, some of which are used to collect spare parts for other cars. The area was thus cleared of illegal vehicles and then cleaned by AMSA operators.
"A necessary intervention in a difficult area of the city - comment the deputy mayor Anna Scavuzzo and the Commander Marco Ciacci -, which required the coordinated participation of the two territorial commands and specialized units that work with great effectiveness in the territory. The protection of these areas it is the best response to the requests of the citizens who live there".
Specifically, 26 vehicles including cars and trucks were removed, 19 because they had no insurance, one with a foreign license plate, 4 due to a fictitious registration and one car already subjected to seizure.
Posted between Via Ricciarelli and Piazzale Selinunte, also to control passage along the road section, the officers were able to contest in their presence two infringements for lack of insurance, with seizure entrusted to the same owner, an infringement for driving without a licence, one for irregularity of the car's registration certificate and two for missing inspections.
3 criminal seizures and 4 complaints for various types of forgeries were carried out.
