Urban security. The deputy mayor's speech at the National Congress of the Italian Society of Criminology on Friday 25 October in Modena

Milan 24 October 2019 – The deputy mayor of Milan and councilor for Security Anna Scavuzzo will participate tomorrow, Friday 25 October, in a debate as part of the 33rd National Congress of the Italian Society of Criminology which will be held in Modena at the Faculty of Law.

The meeting, entitled 'Urban Security: doing research to improve practices' is promoted by the Italian Forum for Urban Security (FISU), national section of EFUS, European Forum for Urban Security, created in 1987 under the aegis of the Council of Europe, the only international non-governmental organization of territorial communities involved in the field of urban security.

In addition to the deputy mayor, the debate will also include Roberto Cornelli, professor of Criminology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, Rossella Selmini, professor of Legal Sociology, Deviance and Social Change at the University of Bologna and Marco Calaresu, professor of Analysis of Public Policies of the University of Sassari.

The debate will start from the presentation of three specific research carried out in the area on the subject of urban security and the speakers will discuss local policies for preventing crime and urban disorder in Italy.
