Milan, 22 December 2020 – The Superior Court of Public Waters rejected the appeal of the Supercondominium Campo Giochi di Bresso which requested the cancellation of the definitive project of the flood lamination tank of the Seveso torrent to be built in the Municipality of Milan at the North Park. This is what emerges today following the publication of the sentence.

The pool project at Parco Nord had obtained the favorable opinion of Via (environmental impact assessments) and - as stated in the ruling of the Superior Court of Public Waters - aspects of inadmissibility and unfoundedness were found in the grounds of appeal. In particular, it is stated that the Municipality of Bresso is not a body qualified to express opinions on health and environmental matters and furthermore that between the playground and the homes and the pool there is the distance of the Seveso river and a tree-lined front.

"In the meantime - declares the councilor for public works Marco Granelli - the works for the construction of the tank continue, towards the objective of having the flood protection system functioning for the summer of 2022".
