Seveso. The flood has subsided and the rescue team is on site
Milan, September 8 2019 - Due to strong storms shortly after 6 this morning the Seveso flooded. The flooding subsided around 7,30 am and all traffic was restored between 8 and 9 am, with the exception of the underpass in via Negrotto, where there is still a lot of water and where the water pumps are at work. The disturbance has currently moved eastwards and no longer affects Milan and Brianza.
Local Police, Civil Protection and MM teams are present on site. Five Amsa sweepers are also in service and will be operational again tomorrow to clean streets and pavements.
The COC, the Municipal Operations Center, remains active at the center in via Drago to graduate the activation of the emergency plan and the monitoring of the hydrometric levels of the Seveso and Lambro rivers and of the radar by the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Milan continues.
