Seveso and Lambro. Bad weather, Coc activated from 15pm
Milan, September 5 2019 - The Weather Center of the Lombardy Region has issued an alert for the risk of thunderstorms (code yellow) which concerns the Milanese hydraulic node, for this reason the Municipality has ordered the activation of the Coc at the Center in via Drago starting from 15 pm until the end to start monitoring the levels of the Seveso and Lambro rivers and proceed with any emergency plan. The local police and MM water services teams also participate in the municipal civil protection COC and, in case of need, they also operate on the water emergency plan.
In addition to the strong thunderstorms, strong winds are expected from today's afternoon due to the entry from France of a cold pocket of North Atlantic origin from the south-west with the entry of humid southern currents into Lombardy. The formation of the first thunderstorms is expected in the Milan area in the evening and night and until Friday.
