Milan, August 7 2020 – "I want to thank the outgoing Director Andrea Melis for the important work carried out in recent years, which has led the School to offer an educational offering of the highest level, with ministerial recognition of the value of the qualifications awarded, and best wishes for good job to Roberto Favaro, confident that his cultural, teaching and management skills will be able to ensure the School a path of further growth in terms of quality and reputation". Thus the Councilor for Culture Filippo Del Corno commented on the appointment of Roberto Favaro - musicologist, essayist and university professor - as Director of the "Claudio Abbado" Civic Music School. The new Director will take office in September at the end of the mandate of the current director Andrea Melis.
