Human resources. Over 2.300 serological tests carried out among municipal employees and disabled day centers, only 3% positive

Milan, July 29 2020 – Over 2.300 serological tests of which just over 3% with a positive result for SARS-CoV-2. These are the first results obtained from the survey conducted by the Administration on municipal employees, workers and users of disabled day centers and local police.

In particular, the Administration conducted serological tests on 1.158 employees, mostly nursery and nursery school educators, of which only 32 were positive; to these are also added 97 oropharyngeal swabs which resulted in only one positive case.

Thanks to the agreement between ATS, ASST Fatebenefratelli Sacco and the Social Policies Directorate of the Municipality of Milan, tests were then carried out on the workers of the disabled day centers (CDD): 217 tests of which 22 positive and 22 swabs all negative. 
Serological tests and swabs also for center users: 142 tests, all negative.

As regards the local police force, thanks to the agreement between ATS, Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano and Urban Security Directorate, 854 serological tests were carried out, of which 26 positive, and 26 oropharyngeal swabs with only one positive case.

“These numbers demonstrate – explains the Human Resources councilor, Cristina Tajani – how effective the prevention and safety actions implemented promptly by the Administration to combat the Covid epidemic have proven to be. Actions that made it possible to protect the health of front office staff and therefore of citizens".
