Urban regeneration. Green roofs and walls in the city, prizes for the best
Milan, January 12 2022 – As part of the European project 'Clever cities', a promotional campaign is planned for the diffusion of green coverings - green roofs, walls, facades. The municipal administration has announced the 'Reward your greenery' competition, which will award recognition to the best green roofs and walls in the city chosen both through public voting and by a special technical jury.
All private individuals, companies, bodies, condominiums, owners, tenants and authorized designers, representatives of properties with green roofs or walls, can participate in the competition, provided they are located in the municipal territory.
“Renewing the city also through innovative solutions such as green roofs is the objective of Clever cities and of the municipal administration together - intervenes the councilor for urban regeneration Giancarlo Tancredi -. We therefore welcome a competition that identifies and rewards urban greenery and that can help spread a regenerative culture both among operators in the sector and among citizens who can benefit from it."
Applications can be submitted online by February 25th ataddress and the winners will be announced by March. The prizes up for grabs consist of a financial contribution for the maintenance of the winners' roof or wall, and vary from approximately 2 thousand to a maximum of 5 thousand euros.
