Milan, May 8 2022 – Demolition work has begun on the building which until 2017 housed the "Karma - Borgo del tempo Perso" disco in via Fabio Massimo 36 in Porto di Mare, in Municipality 4. Thus begins the first phase of the interventions planned with the project headed by the Socialmusiccity company, which last July won the public tender for the concession of surface rights for 30 years of the entire area, which covers an area of approximately 30 thousand mXNUMX2.

These are interventions that will transform deteriorated and disused structures, those that housed the ballroom with its external appurtenances, into a multidisciplinary complex that supports and enhances the vocation of the area as a "Music Park" and which will include a tensile structure for events and concerts, teaching spaces that can also be used as dressing rooms for the artists involved in the shows, the creation of a swimming pool equipped with an outdoor urban amphitheater (approximately 3700 m2) suitable for hosting cultural events, padel courts with related changing rooms, a large square from which the main functions of the new complex unfold, suitable for hosting events.

The project also includes an exhibition area of approximately 600 m2 in concession to Coldiretti, for the construction of its market, and the creation of a green area with trees with the installation of new plants, in particular lime trees, as well as lawn areas and hedges.

Compared to the original idea, the approximately 200 parking spaces planned will no longer be concentrated in a single car park but, for greater convenience and functionality, spread throughout the area. The former car park area will instead be integrated with the system of surrounding green areas.

The new building volumes will cover a total surface area of approximately 6100 m2.

The demolition phase, which will start in the next few days, will last about a month, after which work will begin on the new buildings, divided into lots: the first will focus on the tensile structure and then arrive at the park, the padel courts and the swimming pool, with the goal of finishing the entire complex by summer 2023.
