Urban regeneration. The atlas of Milan is online, the interactive map of the interventions underway in the city

Milan, June 23 2022 - AND online on the Municipality's website the Atlas of Urban Regeneration of Milan, the first interactive map that provides an overview of the over 100 projects underway in the city, with implementation processes already underway, which cover a territorial area of over 5 thousand mXNUMX, in addition to the most relevant public and private interventions.
From the former railway yards to the Olympic works, from Piazzale Loreto to the former Macello, from the Nuova Beic to Porta Vittoria to the Magnifica Fabbrica in Rubattino, from Bovisa to MIND, passing through radial interventions on the entire municipal territory with a more limited impact which concern redevelopments of neighborhoods, squares and even individual building complexes, the map depicts an increasingly polycentric city, underlining the Administration's objective of recovering and making the entire municipal territory vital and livable.
A regenerative process which, once completed and without counting any new projects, will lead Milan to have 10 million square meters of areas returned to citizens, of which 3 million are green and public spaces, as well as around 8 thousand new social housing units.

The Atlas, which will be periodically updated with new projects and the various phases of the procedures, provides for each intervention a sheet with the essential information about the surface involved, the functions, the implementation status and, where available, a dedicated study.

The major projects that can be viewed on the map, currently 145, include: the Implementation Plans, the Integrated Intervention Plans, the Program Agreements, the interventions of the three editions of Reinventing cities. Also reported are the subsidized building permits, the new parks, the innovative programs for the quality of living (PINQUA), some interventions of the neighborhood plan, including those for open squares, the React-EU projects, the active tenders and the abandoned building heritage, as well as some strategic provisions of the Territorial Government Plan (Large Urban Functions, Nodes and Squares) and the projects for the valorisation of the Farmhouses.
