Milan, March 4 2021 – Trees, liveability and safety. The redevelopment works on via Celio, between via Novara and via Rembrandt, have been completed. The works were carried out after deduction of costs by Rodevita San Celso Srl as part of the demolition of the "Istituto paritetico San Celso" school complex in via Paravia 5 and in the consequent construction of a new healthcare residence with adjoining day centre.

“Via Celio has changed its face – declares the councilor for urban planning and greenery Pierfrancesco Maran –. From an anonymous passageway it has become a street that focuses on pedestrian use and greenery. Furthermore, the creation of the RSA will also be an important service for the neighborhood."

The restyling of Via Celio saw the creation of new sidewalks on both sides of the road, new lighting and the resurfacing of the road surface with the reshaping of the roadway and the creation of 57 parking stalls in a herringbone pattern on both sides. The scanning of the stalls was interspersed with the presence of new flowerbeds delimited by stone curbs within which 18 trees and 4 shrubs were placed. At the same time, a surface water disposal system was created with the underground laying of pipes and inspection chambers for the correct flow of white water.
