Neighborhoods. Via Boifava, the redevelopment works of the civic center have been completed: the registry office has reopened

Milan, September 15 2021 – Having completed the redevelopment work on the building in Via Boifava 17, of the registry office of the Chiesa Rossa district (Town Hall 5), from today the counters are reopened to the public. Social services offices will also reopen in the next few days.

The works carried out by the Municipality made it possible to redevelop the building which was highly degraded, eliminate all the asbestos, reconstruct the reinforced concrete structures to make the building solid and overcome the static problems, redo the flooring and the systems. The works also included redeveloping the access space on the ground floor and in the next few days the spaces for disabled people will be increased in via Boifava for the benefit of the civic center and the neighbourhood.

The registry offices resume full-time service with continuous hours from 8.30 to 15.30. On the portal it is possible to book an appointment online for all the services available at the counter. Free entry is permitted for the issue of the electoral card. The decentralized office in via Quarenghi 21 in Municipality 8 is also back in operation from today, in the same way.

As regards social services, starting from Monday, a multidisciplinary team will begin to be established to work on issues related to citizenship income. Starting from November, a new service dedicated especially to minors will also be opened, which will make use of a multidisciplinary team qualified in particular to address and manage the dynamics of family conflicts, with the aim of containing the repercussions on the well-being of children's lives and to promote collaboration in their education.
