Milan, July 4 2021 - The tender for the management of the two buildings owned by the municipality, already redeveloped, in Ripa di Porta Ticinese 85/87, in Municipality 6, is online on the Municipality website. The dimensions are large: two floors above ground each for a total of almost 500 square meters, in addition to an external appurtenant area of 662 square meters. The Administration's objective is for them to become venues for recreational, cultural and training activities of various kinds dedicated above all to young people and at the same time a valid defense for the territory, as well as a resource for triggering initiatives for the transformation and promotion of the entire neighborhood .

Non-profit associations, non-profit organisations, social cooperatives, foundations with social, cultural and educational purposes and amateur sports associations can participate. Candidates are asked to present a project proposal which must contain a plan of social, cultural, educational, training, recreational and aggregation activities and initiatives in the field of free time. The buildings, for which contractually the concession of use is foreseen for a duration of 12 years, may be used in part (for no more than 25% of the open space and of the total surface area of the buildings) for complementary income-generating functions such as convivial areas, small commercial and artisanal activities, spaces for administration, which contribute to the economic sustainability of the initiative. As for the economic offer, it must be increased compared to the annual starting fee calculated on the basis of market values and reduced by 70%, as these are non-profit entities.

“They are two very beautiful buildings, from the early 900s, recently refurbished by the Municipality - explains the councilor for social and housing policies Gabriele Rabaiotti -. I insist on the fact that they are dedicated to activities and services for girls and boys, also in consideration of their location, close to the Darsena and therefore one of the areas most frequented by youth 'nightlife'. They could therefore usefully contribute to diversifying the offer of entertainment activities in the area and raising the quality of the aggregation proposals present, also through the construction of collaboration networks with the services that already exist in the immediate surroundings".

The deadline for submitting proposals is set for 12pm on September 10th. Councilor Rabaiotti, together with the president of Municipality 6 Santo Minniti and the representatives of the State Property management, will present the contents of the announcement next Friday, 9 July, in the Vitman room of the Aquarium in Viale Gadio starting from 17 pm. to participate you must book by writing to the address assessore.rabaiotti@comune.milano.it

The room can accommodate around 40 people in compliance with anti-Covid rules. Anyone unable to participate in person will be sent the link to connect via email.
