Milan, March 21 2021 - New spaces for young Milanese people, to be used for socio-cultural and recreational activities. The Municipality intends to shortly launch a public tender for the concession of use of two recently renovated buildings it owns, located in Ripa di Porta Ticinese 85/87, in which non-profit associations and non-profit organizations will be able to participate. , social cooperatives, foundations with social, cultural and educational purposes, amateur sports associations. The objective of the Municipality, in agreement with Municipality 6, the reference one, is to propose recreational activities specifically dedicated to a young public, and at the same time to offer a valid protection for the territory, as well as a resource for triggering initiatives of transformation and promotion of the entire neighborhood.

“I insist - says the councilor for social and housing policies Gabriele Rabaiotti - on the fact that these spaces be allocated to activities dedicated to young people, also because our intent is to reduce the impact of the 'nightlife' on the Darsena and, pushing it more further, dilute its effect on that limited area. And it is at the same time to diversify the offer for our children's free time, so that it is also enriched with other possibilities for aggregation and activities, in addition to the traditional evening and night clubs".

These are large buildings with two floors above ground for a total of almost 500 m662, as well as an external appurtenant area of XNUMX mXNUMX.

To participate in the selection, candidates must present a project proposal which must contain a plan of social, cultural, educational, training, recreational and aggregation activities and initiatives, in any case in the field of free time. The buildings granted for use may be partially allocated (for no more than 25% of the open space and the overall surface area of the buildings) to complementary functions such as convivial areas, small commercial and artisanal activities, which contribute to the economic sustainability of the initiative.

As for the economic offer, it must be increased compared to the annual starting fee calculated on the basis of market values and reduced by 70%, as these are non-profit entities.
