Councilor Maran: "Support for many entities that operate in our city" – Rankings

Milan, 28 December 2021 – Thanks to the 2021 Neighborhoods Notice, 48 initiatives and projects in the city area will be supported by the municipal administration. The rankings for the assignment of contributions aimed at third sector organizations and entities which will obtain up to 5 thousand euros for each single proposal have been published on the Municipality's website.

The 2021 Neighborhoods Call, for which the Municipality of Milan has allocated a total of 240.000 euros, has been divided into two areas with two different rankings: the first dedicated to supporting educational and social inclusion activities carried out during the year; the second for support for entertainment and integration initiatives during the Christmas holidays and for the new year. The winning subjects, 26 for the first ranking and 22 for the second, will receive a contribution from the municipal administration of up to 90% of the documented expenses for each individual project.

Through the Neighborhood Notice, the Municipality of Milan wants to contribute to activities in the area with social, recreational-recreational and cultural initiatives such as street education, after-school programs and Italian courses for foreigners.

"We are happy to be able to support those who work daily for social inclusion and integration in the neighborhoods of our city", explains Pierfrancesco Maran, councilor for Housing and Neighborhood Plan. "The funds will be used to help the many virtuous realities, the teachers and operators, the structures present in the different areas of Milan – concludes the councilor – so that they can continue to grow and become increasingly rooted in the territory".
