Tribute Project. The next meeting in July in Novi Sad on urban planning

Milan, June 29 2022 - TRIBUTE, officially launched in January 2021, aims to develop a transnational strategy for urban transport in the Adriatic-Ionian region, to promote environmentally sustainable and inclusive urban mobility. The project partners will develop pilot actions for the design of innovative public transport services, integrated cycle-pedestrian routes and for the management of congested road corridors.

The TRIBUTE project was presented in mid-June in Ljubljana on the occasion of VELOCITY 2022, an international conference where over 50 exhibitors from across Europe met to share and learn about the latest innovations in cycling mobility. The event encouraged the meeting between political representatives, the academic sector, industry and citizens to reiterate the key role that cycling plays in building more sustainable cities.

During the conference VELOCITY TRIBUTE presented the pilot actions of the cities of: Ljubljana, Maribor and Zagreb with a thematic analysis on green cycle paths. Representatives of the Polytechnic University of Milan, Ljubljana and Maribor shared the vision and approach of the project in general.

On 28 and 29 July the partners of the TRIBUTE project, including the Municipality of Milan, will meet in Novi Sad (Serbia) for the first meeting in the presence of the consortium, organized in conjunction with the first meeting of the transnational TRIBUTE stakeholder network. On this occasion, representatives of the nuMIDAS project were invited to exchange knowledge and experiences on urban planning tools (e.g. the nuMIDAS Toolkit) and to discuss potential collaborations.

During the first meeting of the TRIBUTE transnational stakeholder network, stakeholders from the cities involved in each pilot action will discuss best practices and their experiences regarding urban mobility plans and actions, with the aim of starting the discussion that will lead to definition of the Transnational TRIBUTE Strategy.
