TRIBUTE project: stakeholders identified and Living labs launched to find innovative solutions for urban mobility

Milan, 28 December 2022 – On 22 July the TRIBUTE project consortium met for the second Steering Committee meeting, which was held online again due to the unpredictable epidemiological situation. However, project partners had the opportunity to discuss different technical phases of the project, with particular attention to two work packages of utmost importance for the TRIBUTE project: Methodological framework and evaluation and Identification of action plans to support the implementation of innovative and sustainable mobility measures.

As part of the first work package, significant progress was made in identifying relevant stakeholders - more than 190 different stakeholders were presented, while 57 signed letters of intent were collected. These data were then used to draft the methodology for the creation of the Living lab, as a new form of "public-private-citizen partnership" in which citizens, companies, researchers and public administrations collaborate to find innovative solutions for urban mobility .

All this cannot be achieved without adequate action plans. Therefore, the Municipality of Milan has scheduled 3 thematic technical meetings with the TRIBUTE project partners, regarding the specific objectives of the project partners' action plans and the pilot actions identified to be developed within the TRIBUTE living labs.

These online meetings were specifically focused on one of the following strategic approaches for sustainable mobility in the Adriatic-Ionian region: Innovative public transport services, Green cycling route network and Management of highly congested road corridors. In accordance with the objectives set within the TRIBUTE project, the Municipality of Milan participated in the subgroup on the management of highly congested road corridors.

In doing so, each project partner committed to sending the necessary inputs for the identification of the pilot action and its methodology. The leader of this second priority work package, the Municipality of Milan, managed to conclude the data collection activities on the identification of the pilot action, while the collection of inputs on the methodology for the action plan was concluded on the 15th October.
