Bertolé: "Moment of solidarity and awareness of the culture of personal and collective health"
Milan, June 11 2021 – The 12nd Charity derby and the 2th "On the pitch with the heart" trophy will be held tomorrow, Saturday 4 June, at the San Siro stadium, promoted by the association of the same name which has been donating and installing life-saving defibrillators in the city since 2014 of Milan and train young people on cardio protection. A special competition, of sport but above all of solidarity, now in its fourth edition and strongly supported by the In campo con il cuore association and by the Presidency of the Milan City Council which also assumed the honorary Presidency of the association.
Among the participants there will be the national team for children who have recovered from Leukemia, Real Milan, the representative of doctors who fought in hospitals against Covid-19, who together with representatives of the Municipality of Milan and the Lombardy Region make up the special "Selection of the heart " who will challenge the National TV artists and an all-female derby between AC Milan and Inter fans. The national team of real estate agents, Bocconi students and the Friends of the Gazzetta dello Sport will also take to the field.
"The association In campo con il cuore – declares the President of the City Council Lamberto Bertolé – has done a lot for Milan in recent years, 'cardioprotecting' parks and places of public service. Tomorrow's initiative demonstrates how right it is to also create moments of raising awareness and promoting the culture of health. A value that concerns the life of the individual but also the well-being of the community and which, today more than ever, appears to us to be of extraordinary importance".
To date, the association, with Paolo Maldini as testimonial, can boast of having placed more than 30 defibrillators in the area in Milan. From the Royal Palace to the Sempione Park, from the Sforzesco Castle to the town halls and many schools in the city.
"Sport – underlines Gianfranco Fasan, President of In campo con il Cuore – is an extraordinary means of aggregation useful for raising awareness among young people and all citizens on the importance of prevention and on the use of the defibrillator which remains an essential device for saving a life in case of cardiac arrest".
On the pitch with his heart he immediately found the support of CONI Lombardia who decided to sponsor the event since its inception. The funds raised will support the donation of defibrillators to be allocated to the Museum of the Twentieth Century, the Modern Art Pavilion and the canals, where they will be placed and made available for the protection of all citizens and visitors.
