Milan, June 24 2019 - "A figure of whom Milan and the whole country are proud". Thus the President of the Municipal Council Lamberto Bertolé remembering Giorgio Ambrosoli, during the award ceremony for the Award in memory of him. A special celebration on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the murder of the liquidator lawyer of the Italian private bank in which the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella also took part.
"The prizes being awarded today - said Bertolé - constitute an important tribute to his memory which adds to the many demonstrations of affection and gratitude from institutions and citizens. In recent years, Milan has wanted to remember him by inscribing his name in the Famedio of illustrious citizens, awarding him the highest city honour, establishing in 2000 a scholarship dedicated to young researchers involved in the issues of legality and the fight against corruption, but above all 'remembering'.
