Local police. A massage center seized for exploitation of prostitution

In the last 12 months, around 70 checks have been carried out in wellness centres

Milan, September 30 2020 – A massage center in the Stadera district was seized by agents of the Decentralized 5 of the local police of Milan, on behalf of the PM Isabella Samek Lodovici, for exploitation of prostitution.

“A round of applause to the local police officers – comments the Deputy Mayor and Security Councilor Anna Scavuzzo – who started and successfully completed a truly important operation, thanks to the expertise that distinguishes them and their careful knowledge of the area” .

The activity was started a few months ago when local police officers carried out an investigation inside the wellness centre. From the circumstances that emerged, a crime had been reported, on the basis of which the judicial authority delegated the search activity.

The agents of Decentralized 5 of the local police therefore carried out a stakeout in plain clothes to be able to intervene as soon as a customer arrived and thus ascertain the crime in flagrante delicto. The opportunity presented itself on Friday 25 September: shortly after a man entered, the patrol who was guarding the place entered and was thus able to observe the start of a sexual act.

Inside, in addition to the customer, there were two women, both reported: the owner, ZL, 50 years old and of Chinese origins, for exploitation of prostitution and the employee, JY, also fifty years old, for personal aiding and abetting - for having tried to cover the position of the owner - and for irregular presence in the territory. In addition to the massage centre, which was closed and sealed, the phones and materials found inside the cabins were also seized.

In the last 12 months there have been 70 checks by the local police in massage and wellness centres, which resulted in 36 complaints mainly due to deficiencies in health and safety requirements or failure to respect opening and closing times.
