Milan, 14 August 2021 - One hundred vehicles checked, 20 administrative sanctions issued for violation of the highway code, 8 license withdrawals for driving while intoxicated and one complaint for receiving stolen goods. These are the numbers from last night's patrol by the local police, who operated with around ten officers from 20.30pm to 4am this morning in the busiest night-time areas of the centre, in particular near Piazza 25 Aprile.
"As always, I thank the officers for their commitment to patrolling the territory which never fails during these summer nights - comments the Deputy Mayor and Security Councilor Anna Scavuzzo -. Patrols like the one last night require professionalism, coordination, tact and the ability to relate to citizens in contexts that require particular attention. The checks in the nightlife areas, in synergy with the police, aim to guarantee everyone can enjoy the beauty of our city in safety and with respect of others".
