Milan, May 25 2022 – The chick of Giò and Giulia, the pair of peregrine falcons who had already nested a few years ago on the Pirellone, had escaped from the nest on the roof of the Pirellone, to fly a little further on, perching on the railing of the internal balcony of a large apartment building in Via Fara.

The falcon was surrounded by buildings, disoriented and frightened, it could no longer take flight and the employees of that office called the local police for rescue. The officers from the Animal Protection Unit rushed. A brief consultation with the reference ornithologist allowed us to act according to the correct modus operandi and the daredevil, but still too young, falcon was brought back by the police to the roof of the house, where in a short time he found the nest, mother and father and the rest of the family.
