Local police. Maxi seizure at the Viale Puglie market: 20.000 euros of goods recovered

Over the weekend, another operation by the Ration and Commercial Unit made it possible to raise fines of 7.000 euros

Milan, February 4 2020 – The plainclothes service of the Rural and Commercial Unit of the local police this Sunday at the Viale Puglie market ended with a maxi seizure, thanks to which goods with an estimated total value of 20.000 euros were seized.

Among the approximately 600 items recovered were food and personal hygiene products, clothing and accessories, make-up and food supplements, all presumably stolen from supermarkets and commercial chains. The operation therefore led to 10 administrative seizures and 3 penalties for counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods: the items of clothing found in the seized suitcases were in fact found to have been stolen from the car of a citizen, to whom they have now been returned, who had reported the stolen about two weeks ago. Among these, a Blumarine coat worth over 15.000 euros was found.

Another important operation by the local police food supply unit was completed on Friday night in Municipality 1 and allowed the imposition of fines for a total of 7.000 euros. Specifically, in Viale Alemagna, around 450 bottles of beer were seized from a car shop, which were sold after the permitted hours (midnight), and a fine of 4.000 euros was imposed; in Largo La Foppa, a bicycle equipped with a fixed kitchen and the goods for sale were seized for confiscation purposes, as it was operating without having a licence. In this case, the high fine was 3.000 euros.
