Milan, July 23 2020 - Two young people reported for injuries to a trader. This is the outcome of the investigations by the local police of Milan into the fire at the Wall of the Dolls in via De Amicis, which occurred on the night between Saturday and Sunday 19 July. These are two boys in their early twenties, an Italian and an Egyptian.

According to the footage taken by cameras in the area and the testimonies collected by the officers, the two were celebrating a friend's birthday together with about ten other people; they were lighting firecrackers near the artistic installation against violence against women in via De Amicis, and for this they were scolded by a shopkeeper.

In return the man received some glasses from the two young men and, following a brief discussion, a punch in the face from one of the two.

The lighting of the firecrackers accidentally caused the fire of one of the dolls hanging on the wall, which was put out almost immediately with bottles of water by the same trader who was attacked and by others in the area. A new argument arose with the boys, following which the victim was hit with another punch. In the emergency room the doctors prescribed him seven days of rest.

“Our investigations immediately allowed us to reconstruct the facts and subsequently identify those responsible – comment the deputy mayor and security councilor Anna Scavuzzo and the local police commander Marco Ciacci -. We continue to monitor the territory with Agents and technology, and nevertheless we continue in our commitment to raise awareness among young and old about respect for people and places which are a common good."
