Milan, October 4 2019 - His bike is stolen on his sixth birthday, and the officers raise a collection to give him a new one.
It happens at the Area 6 Command. On Thursday 26 September an officer intervenes at the request of a mother: the woman's son cannot find the new bicycle that he had parked in front of the school. It is the gift received the same morning to celebrate his birthday, the child is inconsolable.
The officer who intervened takes the theft report, but moved by the little boy, he decides to involve other colleagues to take up a collection and buy a new bicycle. And so it happens.
The bicycle is given to the child together with the local police cap and a note with these words: "Hello little big man, someone tried to ruin your day on Thursday afternoon, but he didn't succeed. We apologize because he stole, in addition to your bicycle, your beautiful smile on your birthday. Sorry for that meanness that you couldn't understand, and sorry because he tried to teach you that the world belongs to the smart ones. But is not so. The world belongs to the just and honest like you. Now you have a new car, a local police car. Happy birthday from your vigilant friends.”
