Milan, June 15 2021 – They were not wearing a seat belt and for this reason they were stopped by a patrol from the Public Transport Protection Unit of the local police of Milan, who found them inside a van, in which 48 year old MM and 38 year old MC were travelling, both arrested, 30,8 kilos of marijuana and hashish.

It happened yesterday morning, around 11 in viale Renato Serra, during a patrol of lines 30 and 90. At number 91, between the bus lane and the regular traffic lane, the officers of the local police noticed that the two people on board a white Citroën Jumper van, which later turned out to be rented, were not wearing their seat belts.

The van was therefore stopped for a traffic police check and the two men, both Italian, immediately appeared very agitated. Furthermore, while the driver (MM) immediately showed his driving license, the passenger (MC) was unable to provide any identity document at the time.

While checking the driver's document and the passenger's personal details, both of which were later found to have specific precedents, the agents of the Public Transport Protection Unit, who had approached the windows of the vehicle, noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the trunk and therefore asked how much they were carrying.

When MM refused to answer, the local police officers therefore carried out an inspection of the loading compartment, opening the side door of the van, and inside they found an open bag, from which a cellophane bag with a large amount of money was sticking out. amount of marijuana. The search therefore revealed 6 kilos of marijuana (divided into six bags) and 24,8 kilos of hashish (packaged in 150 blocks of 100 grams and 49 spheres of approximately 200 grams).

The subsequent house searches, carried out by the agents of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the local police, gave negative results. While the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the substances found in the van revealed a very high percentage of THC (18%) for hashish and 8% for marijuana.
